Version 044 – So many new things!

ThumbsUp Survey • March 3, 2024 • 2 months ago

Welcome to version 044, our first major release for 2024. There are so many new things added this time, we can’t cover all details in just one article, so you’ll have to come back from time to time, and see what’s new!

Open survey programmatically

One of the first big additions, are options to open a survey programmatically! By default, as soon as the page loads, the survey begins. But there are times where you want to have control on when the survey will start, like the one we have in our homepage, where you have to click the button for the survey to start.

For this, we have added a few interesting options on how (via a method or a click event) or even adding an extra delay:

I’m not going to share information here, I’m preparing a dedicate article for this. We will let you know when the post will be ready!

Email/Newsletter support

Ok, this is one of the biggest additions in this version, we have the option to copy each block (or even the whole survey) and paste it into an email!

And not only this, you will also have the option to add any utm parameters:

Once again, I’m not going to share information here, I’m preparing a dedicate article for this. We will let you know when the post will be ready!

Extra data as object or function

Ok, this is a bit more complicated part, providing more functionality on what kind of custom data you can pass on each survey. Not just plain data or javascript object, now you can use a function call as well! Stay tuned until we prepare a dedicated article which will provide all information!

Accept multiple instances

Not sure how this can be used, I just thought that it would a cool feature, to be able to have multiple surveys on the same page! Perhaps not for surveys, but for polls, this would be very helpful!

(You can consider this as a spoiler, on what’s coming in the future!)

WordPress plugin

Ok, we have a brand new WordPress plugin; an easy way to integrate a survey using just a shortcode, and also including an options helper; the same helper you will find in the dashboard, it’s in the plugin as well!

And yes, as you might have guessed, you’ll need to wait a bit more, until the article is ready!

General improvements

Of course, we didn’t just add only new features, we did some general UX/backend improvements to make your experience even better!
